A Win For Tourism In SA
SA's been ranked in the top five regions in the world to visit by Lonely Planet.
The publication puts us as 5th on the must-see list for 2017.
Only behind Choquequirao in Peru, Taranaki in New Zealand, The Azores in Portugal and North Wales in the UK.
South Australia is the only Australian destination to be named by the internationally-renowned travel guide and has been labelled a 'delicious feast suitable to anyone's taste’.
While the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail was also listed in the guide under Best New Openings.
It follows an endorsement in 2014 when Adelaide was listed in the Top 10 cities to visit.
To celebrate, the State Government's putting on a free block party this Friday.
All things local will be celebrated in the West End along with live music and a Meriachi band.
There'll be outdoor BBQs, pop-up gin bars, sangria stations, extended alfresco dining areas and gourmet street food using the finest local produce.
