Here's The Real Reason Donald Trump Won The US Election
There's a lot of people still scratching their heads over Donald Trump's victory in the US Election.
But one week after the vote, early numbers and exit poll data's starting to give us a clearer picture.
The United States Election Project have crunched the numbers on early turnout rates, revealing nearly half of the countries' eligible voters did not vote in the 2016 election.
That's more than 100 million people.
While there are claims on social media that around 11,000 people voted for Harambe, the gorilla killed at Cincinnati Zoo in May after a young boy fell into his enclosure.
The statistic is yet to be officially confirmed.
Despite such a large number of Americans not having their say, it still wasn't the lowest voter turnout in US history.
In a lot of states, victories came down to fewer than 10,000 votes, showing just how valuable those missing votes could have been for both Trump and Hillary Clinton.
