Missing Woman Found Chained Up Inside Storage Container

A woman who went missing in August with her boyfriend has been found chained up inside a storage container in the US.

Kala Brown was discovered by police inside a metal container in South Carolina after they heard her banging on the walls. Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright told reporters that she had a chain around her neck, and had been kept in the container for two months. She had been fed regularly throughout her captivity.

Registered sex offender Todd Christopher Kohlhepp has been arrested in connection with the incident. He will be charged with kidnapping.

Ms Brown reportedly told investigators that there might be up to four bodies on the property, but they have not been able to verify those claims as yet. Weapons and ammunition were discovered on the property.

“We’re trying to make sure we don’t have a serial killer on our hands,” Wright said. “(It) very possibly could be what we have.”

Kala and her boyfriend Charles Carver (pictured above) disappeared from their home in the US several months ago. The case attracted international attention after suspicious posts began appearing on Mr Carver’s Facebook page in October. Their families believed the account had been hacked. It is not known whether these posts had anything to do with their disappearance.

Police are still searching for Mr Carver. His car was discovered in the woods surrounding the property.
