Weather Warnings One Year On From The Deadly Pinery Bushfire
On the one year anniversary of the Pinery bushfire we’re being reminded to be ready for what lies ahead.
The CFS says we’re still at risk of seeing a devastating fire despite the warmer weather being a little delayed this year.
The bureau says the heat is on for December, predicting a blistering month ahead.
But temps are expected to ease back to average in Jan and Feb.
Two people died when a blaze tore through 82,000 hectares of farmland north of Adelaide between November 25 and December 1 last year.
90 others were injured while 72,000 livestock were killed.
Damage over the week came in at $75 million.
